FAQ: Details On 2011 Entry Costs

Hi guys, as you know Summer Of Sonic has a proud (and perhaps somewhat foolish) history of being totally and utterly free to enter. With this year being so big and with us going all out to secure the best we can get we acknowledge that indeed somethings will be different this year.

So we thought it best to answer the question you all have – how much will it cost you to enter?

Well, we’ve crunched the numbers and I can reveal that it will cost you a grand total of £0.00.

According to the latest rates that works out at $0.00 or €0.00, this may of course change as rates change. Should you require any other currency you can of course check via an online money convertor like Xe.com to change £0.00 into whatever you require.

I know, I know, you’re very disappointed at this fee. Fret not though as there will be various creative ways you CAN spend your money at SOS, and we’ll be revealing these in the coming months.

We hope this knowledge doesn’t distress you too much or put you off.

PS: If you’re ABSOLUTELY determined you want to help out in some way and are angered by this – astonishingly there actually people who are – another option is you can always help out TSS or SW with their hosting and send them some money via PayPal. Each site has a donations link.

Hey, Hogfather! You’re the YouTube guy who got to go in the Sonic Room in Alton Towers!!!! COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!! I’m super jealous of anyone who gets to go to the Summer of Sonic, cuz I’m in Australia :(. Boohoo!!!! (not sarchastic) I really wanna go, but at least I’m getting Sonic Generations Collector’s Edition!!! If you wanna see MY YouTube, it’s sonicismylife1. I seriously do regret calling it that. It’s the dumbest name EVA! And I have uploaded the crappiest and most boring stop motions of Sonic ever created onto YouTube, too. Don’t watch them, they seriously suck!

WEll, that’s all from me. And btw, my name is a constellation. It’s my real name! Caelum is a constellation! Well, sayonara chicken carbonara (I’m an idiot) Bye!

  13. avatar Jansen "ShadowTG" McCord says:

I wouldn’t exactly say it’s free. There’s still the fuel or train journey to pay for. Transport is one of the main problems I have with going. If fuel wasn’t so bloody expensive, I’d be there before anyone else, I’m so eager to get there. Oh well, I’ve got £100 in an envelope somewhere, maybe I could use that…

  14. avatar Alex says:

You guys are spoiling us again!

  15. avatar sheezy93 says:

again free? XD but what about ticket anyhow? will it also affect us or not?
hmm good luck to everyone who really need to go sos11 C: good luck!

  16. avatar Umiyuri says:

Oh, come off it! £0.00? I can’t pay more than £0.00 for this, chilli dogs or no! £0.00 less or I’m not paying!

  17. avatar Katiefoxe says:

What about the tickets? Will there be any tickets to get for this event like the last Summer of Sonics?

  18. Any word on when we’ll be able to sign up for the event itself?

Just want to make absolutely sure I don’t miss my chance.

    • avatar JayZeach says:

Don’t worry, details regarding entry are being scribbled away right now by our team of highly trained rabid fanboys we keep locked in the =TSS= basement for such occasions when the thing known as “work” is needed to be done.

In all seriousness: Keep your eyes open and your head cool, details regarding entry will be out in due time so don’t worry dude!

  19. avatar Lewis Condrey says:

is every thing there free or will we have to bring money to buy things

  20. avatar Zena Gonzalez says:
